The Honorable Elijah Muhammad taught that we need human rights which would guarantee or confirm for us the political status that other human beings enjoy universally. The gaining of these rights must begin with our oppressors who removed these rights, they must be forced to recognize our rights as a human being as they recognize any other human being.
Messenger Muhammad left Silis Muhammad, and us all, guidance to reply to this question. If we want to give each teacher justice then we should start with the first one, this question arose because Mr. Muhammad, started preparing our people to fight for human rights and reparations.
Silis Muhammad has taken on this monumental task of procuring our recognition of these rights in the international world which the oppressor adheres, and laws which keep their civility somewhat in check. The nations have taken notice of his work and have offered assistance in our plight.
Mr. Muhammad also teaches us to get ready to leave America to avoid its destruction as Messenger Muhammad taught. Yet, many of our people ask, Who made you the leader over us?
You do not question the Government of America nor its President, Who made you the leader of us, why did you take our language, culture, and human rights.
However, Silis Muhammad, put into action the words of Messenger Muhammad, that “first and foremost you need human rights to be recognized as human being in order to have equal rights as other human beings.” And, we must hold up our end here in the land of our oppressor in assisting Mr. Muhammad to fulfill, our teacher, and his teacher’s desire.
So when you question Silis Muhammad, first, question the Government of America, then question yourself, “WHY NOT SILIS MUHAMMAD?’
